Discussion, presentations, performances Preparation and participation are mandatory and will significantly affect your performance in this class. All students will take part in oral presentations and performances of primary texts over the course of the semester. Graduate students will present some of the scholarly articles included in the coursepack. You will be allowed one unexcused absence and one day on which to say “I’m not prepared” over the course of the semester. A failure to prepare or contribute will lower your grade.
